With overall turnover of 134.85 mio Swiss francs (approx. 136.6 mio euros), Fressnapf marked a successful end to the last financial year in Switzerland also. Compared with the previous year, it recorded growth of around six per cent, with sales up by over 7 mio Swiss francs (approx. 7.1 mio euros). Growth in stationary stores came to four per cent, while sales online increased by more than 19.6 per cent or 2.61 mio Swiss francs (around 2.64 mio euros) compared with the previous year.
Four new stores were opened last year, bringing the total number of stores operated in Switzerland by Fressnapf Switzerland to 64. Plans are in hand for six new branches this year, including three in western Switzerland. The company has also revealed that its first store with live pets will open in Basle and feature a large aquatics department.
Fressnapf Switzerland celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2023. The milestone is expected to be marked throughout the year with a series of competitions.
