The 22nd edition of the Anido trade fair, held in Kortrijk (Belgium) on 4 and 5 September, attracted 4 424 visitors from 17 countries, according to the organisers. At the last event in February 2020, one of the last pet trade shows before the coronavirus pandemic, 4 871 visitors were recorded from 22 countries. More than 25 per cent of this year’s visitors came from abroad, while the number of attendees from the Netherlands increased significantly from 12 to 15 per cent. Anido was thus able to underline its importance as the principal trade show for Benelux and northern France.
Visitor numbers fell slightly short of expectations, however, which the organisers attributed chiefly to the unfamiliar replacement dates in late summer and the warm temperatures. The next Anido will revert to its springtime slot on 25 and 26 February 2024.
