Dr Johannes Steegmann succeeds Folkert Schultz

Dr Johannes Steegmann will become part of the management team of the Fressnapf Group on 1 August, when he will form the new management of Fressnapf Holding SE jointly with Dr Hans-Jörg Gidlewitz. The holder of a doctorate in economics, Dr Steegmann will assume responsibility for the areas covered by Folkert Schultz, meaning customer experience, sales in Germany, IT & processes, people, corporate relations and legal affairs/compliance.
Folkert Schultz is returning to the administrative board and will assume the post of vice chairman. By making these changes Fressnapf is underlining the importance of its digital expansion as part of the "Fressnapf-Challenge". Dr Johannes Steegmann was with the Rewe Group from 2011, where as managing director he helped to build up Rewe Digital GmbH. He later also assumed responsibility for national marketing at Rewe.
