JBL honoured for active environmental protection

The Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region has recognised the contribution from german company JBL to the Energy Efficiency Initiative in the “Sustainable Business 2014” project. The jurors reached their positive verdict following an inspection of the JBL plant in Neuhofen, which demonstrated according to JBL just how much the company had invested in operational environmental protection. The amount of waste generated has been reduced by optimised refuse separation and a positive energy balance attained, as JBL’s electricity requirements are largely met by its own solar power installation. Energy savings were also achieved thanks to improved building insulation.
