Europe’s leading Internet pet supplies retailer expecting overall sales amounting to € 120 mio by the end of the year

Europe’s leading online retailer of pet products, Zooplus AG, saw its sales for the first nine months of 2009 hit around € 92 mio. This equates to an increase of 56 per cent compared with the same period in the previous year. The company cites its rapid expansion abroad as the main reason for the strong surge in sales. With the opening this year of shops for the Czech and Finnish markets, Zooplus is now supplying products to pet owners in 17 countries. The company expects overall sales to reach € 120 mio by the end of the year.
