The aquatics company JBL will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. It is planning a big celebration at its headquarters in Neuhofen in combination with a house fair. These events are to be held from 27-29 August, and JBL intends to present bright ideas and interesting projects to communicate the message that aquariums are still “cool” and offer huge potential. After achieving double-digit growth in sales last year, the company is anticipating increased sales this year also. In view of the financial crisis, however, this increase is no longer expected to be as big as in the previous year, says managing director Roland Böhme. With regard to exports, which account for 52 per cent of overall sales, JBL expects growth to be in double figures this year too.
