The organisers of the UK trade shows Glee and Petindex have now released further figures relating to the outcome of the exhibitions in September (as already reported by PETglobal). As reported, the number of visitors to both shows fell from 22 000 last year to approx. 19 000. The decline in visitors to the Petindex show is estimated at around 1 000, as now announced. "Because visitor flow into and out of every Glee hall can't be accurately recorded, we generally assess Glee Petindex attendance on the number of show visitors who, on registering for Glee as a whole, expressed an interest in pet products. According to the organisers, in 2007, 11 600 of all Glee visitors expressed an interest in pet products, and in 2008 the figure was 10 400."
