Nordenia strengthens market leadership in Russia

Nordenia is strengthening its position as the leading manufacturer of flexible packaging in Russia. The globally operating film and packaging company is investing around € 25 mio. into its Russian plant. “This means that we will further be able to expand our excellent position in Russia’s dynamically growing market with globally active consumer goods manufacturers and among local customers,” explained Ralph Landwehr, Chairman of the Executive Board. The investments in new buildings and machines amount to € 12.5 mio. The overall investment sum of € 25 mio. also includes the setting up of further printing and lamination machines, which is planned for 2010/11. Nordenia is represented in the booming markets of Eastern Europe with further production sites in Poland and Hungary. The packaging manufacturer has also had its own sales office in Ukraine for more than a year. In addition, the company has been represented in Moscow and Saint Petersburg with its own sales offices.
