Visitor numbers for this year's Glee Petindex were 3 000 down on last year

Around 3 000 fewer visitors than last year, according to the press release by the organisers of Glee Petindex in Birmingham. In the closing report, which was issued yesterday, four weeks after the end of the show, Glee show director Daniel Thurlow continues: "We were pleased with the show. Anyone who attended Glee or Glee Petindex will have found useful buisness content, a huge range of products and innovation, as well as ways to help retailers generate increased sales."
Across the show Glee Petindex welcomed 18 112 visitors from 58 countries. There was an increase in the number of UK multiple retail buyers such as supermarket, DIY and High Street names. 9 per cent of visitors were attracted from overseas. Glee Petindex 2009 takes place from 20-22 September.
