Fressnapf continues to grow

As of 30 June, Europe’s leading supplier of pet food and accessories had 935 stores in twelve European countries

In the second quarter of this year, Fressnapf continued its expansion in Europe unchecked with the opening of 17 new stores. At the end of the quarter on 30 June, Europe’s leading supplier of pet food and accessories had 692 stores in Germany and 935 stores in twelve European countries in all. In April new stores opened in Verden, Fürstenau and Elmshorn (all in Germany). At the same time, new stores in Roskilde, Denmark, the Spanish town of La Pobla de Vallbona and in Szombathely in Hungary were welcoming their first customers. Two further Maxi Zoos followed in May, one in Toledo in Spain and the other in the Hungarian town of Székesfehérvár, between Lakes Balaton and Velence. In Austria, Fressnapf Austria opened two stores in Lienz and Villach at the start and end of May respectively and thus had 82 outlets on 30 June. To the north-east of Paris, the French acquired a new Maxi Zoo store in Villeparisis on 1 May, while on 26 June the 14th Danish Maxi Zoo opened in Glostrup and the third Maxi Zoo in Ireland arrived in Limerick.
