Baumax: substantial sales growth in 2007

The Austrian DIY and garden centre chain Baumax upped its sales in 2007 by 10.3 per cent to € 1.25 bn. The company turned in a strong performance especially in central and eastern European countries. Baumax is also expecting a sales increase in double figures for 2008. It intends to increase the number of stores it operates from 128 to 140 in 2008, and to have 161 outlets by 2009.
