DQS certifies Nordenia plant in Steinfeld

The German Association for the Certification of Quality Management Systems (DQS) has certified Nordenia Deutschland’s Steinfeld plant in accordance with the prEN 15593 standard, making it the first company worldwide to earn the certification. The objective of developing the prEN 15593 standard, which is based among other things on ISO 9001, is to create a universal, internationally applicable standard for food packaging manufacturers. “By earning the certification, we not only fulfil another internationally standardised guideline. We also continue to increase our reliability in meeting hygiene requirements during the production of packaging for the food industry for our customers,” hygiene representative Markus Hödebeck says.
