Fressnapf goes east

05.09.2007
The speciality chain focuses on Russia or Poland as its next foreign market

Fressnapf’s expansion abroad is being pushed forwards. In the next year, over half of the 80 to 90 stores that the company opens each year are expected to be on foreign soil. In Spain, Fressnapf’s most recent foreign market, three new stores are likely to open this year following the launch of the company’s first store in Valencia: another outlet will open in the Valencia region and two around Madrid. The next foreign market to be added to the Fressnapf empire is likely to be either Russia (only the Moscow region for the time being) or Poland. No decision has yet been taken at Fressnapf as to which country will be chosen.
