Pets in India

Preparations have begun for the second India International Pet Trade Fair (IIPTF), which is to be held from 29 February to 2 March 2008 in New Delhi. In a major move, a deal has been struck between the renowned market research firm Euromonitor International and Creature Companions, the organisers of the IIPTF. According to information from the organisers, this partnership will be of major benefit to the Indian pet industry. It will help Indian trade professionals to make the right moves while also projecting the potential of the Indian pet industry in the international market. As part of this deal, Euromonitor International will provide relevant statistics and figures about the Indian pet industry which IIPTF will share with its visitors. The organisers are providing a total number of 144 booths at IIPTF 2008, which will be held in an area of 3 000 square metres.
