Kingfisher planning to refurbish some of its loss-making UK stores

Kingfisher aims to refurbish 110 of its biggest B&Q Warehouse stores, AFX News reports. The company could be investing up to £ 200 mio (€ 293 mio) in the project over the next three years. As reported, the previous refurbishments in Luton, Gloucester and Milton Keynes have generated extremely positive feedback. In May Kingfisher reported a drop in profits of 45 per cent for the first quarter, with B&Q stores in the UK accounting for the biggest losses with a fall of 70 per cent.
