Astra Aquaria and Aqua Medic cooperating

German companies Aqua Medic and Astra Aquaria have reached agreement on cooperation with the aim of achieving joint growth. As part of this development, Klaus Hansen, the managing director of Aqua Medic, has been appointed managing director of Astra Aquaria. Aqua Medic and its subsidiaries will handle the expansion of aquarium equipment and the accessory range for Astra Aquaria. At the same time, Aqua Medic will market the Astra range in selected countries via its subsidiaries and distributors. In parallel to this, Astra is strengthening its field sales team in Germany, which is to be given extensive training in preparation for selling the extended range. In consultation with its cooperative partner the Astra export organisation will extend export business to further countries in the short term. The preparations for expansion are proceeding at full speed in anticipation of the considerably higher volumes expected, with spacious new premises being converted in the Bissendorf Industrial Park for the future headquarters of Astra Aquaria.
