OATA Impact Exhibitions and OATA have made the joint decision to cancel the Aqua 2023 show and consumer event Water Alive, originally planned to take place from 12 to 14 October at the Telford Conference Centre. For the first time in its history, the show was due to open its doors to consumers on the last two days for the joint Water Alive event.
“It is regrettable this decision has had to be made but without the prospect that the event would break even then we could not commit to continue the show,” said Matt Stevenson, board member of OATA Impact Exhibitions. He added: “The past few years have been a turbulent trading period for our industry, causing inevitable challenges to the trade and therefore the show’s income.” The aim now is to take stock and look at how a successful and profitable show could be organised in the future.
