Gimborn sale looking increasingly likely

Süd-Chemie AG might soon be parting company with its subsidiary Gimborn. Gimborn manufactures the "Biokat's" brand of cat litter and various other well-known pet specialities sold under the "Gimpet" label. Rumours are circulating that a financial investment body specialising in investment in medium-sized companies, but not yet active in the pet supplies sector, has been showing considerable interest in a takeover of Gimborn. This would secure the future of jobs at the pet product specialist. According to information obtained by PET in Europe, no definite decision regarding acquisition is expected before the end of May.
