Bricoalliance founded

Four European DIY store operators – Hubo of Belgium, Mestre Maco, Portugal, Puntolegno of Italy and Brico Group in Spain – have established the new organization Bricoalliance, which is to represent the interests of the participating companies in Europe. The new organization will be based in Belgium, and is expected to commence operation in the fourth quarter of 2006. The four DIY companies involved operate around 170 DIY stores in all, with an overall retail area of 450 000 m².
