In the special Pet Vision zone, exhibitors at Zoomark were able to present products that best interpreted up-and-coming market trends or would be among the big new arrivals in the near future. “Pet Vision offers direct insights into the pet food and care market, which is evolving continuously and is renowned for its strong orientation towards research and innovation,” was the message in advance from the organisers.
The special zone in Hall 16 was also to help pet product retailers, buyers and purchasing managers to recognise new and upcoming trends and make decisions that reflected the changing needs of consumers. The zone was split into five megatrends: Green Transition, Value for Money, Healthy & Functional, Tailor Made and Spoil Me More.
In the run-up to the show, a team including international trade journalists had decided on their favourites and scored these in a stringent selection process over a number of days.
Five proud winners
In the Value for Money category, covering products and services with an outstanding price-performance ratio, the Belcando Baseline brand from German company Bewital Petfood prevailed over the competition. The "whisker-friendly slow-feeder for cats" from company Ajour By was the winner among the products and services characterised by a high level of environmental sustainability and social responsibility. First place in the Healthy & Functional category went to cat litter from Shandong Ruida featuring a pH detector, while the DogoDrops brand of Dogoteka received recognition in the category of highly specialised and customised products and services. Spoil Me More, another category of products and services focused on pet pampering, had Pet Society as its winner with its vegan pet grooming line Hydra Vegan Detox.
