Innovations from Petsafe

The Petsafe brand belongs to Radio Systems Corporation, based in Knoxville, Tennessee, and features some of the world's most familiar pet products. Radio Systems Corporation may have stayed true to the motto of the Petsafe brand over the years, but the product portfolio has changed substantially since the brand came into existence. Apart from the core offering on which the Petsafe brand was established, the range now comprises an extensive line of pet flaps and a variety of products focused on the well-being of pets in the health and wellness category. The in-house teams of engineers and specialists at Petsafe are constantly researching, testing and developing new products and work hand-in-hand with pet behaviourists and veterinarians to ensure that the products keep pets safe, healthy and happy. A wide-ranging assortment has brought the company considerable success in international markets; Petsafe products are available in the USA and Canada, Europe, Australia, China and Japan.
For many years training solutions have formed the core of the Petsafe product range with innovative ideas for containment, training and bark control. Current product categories include pet doors, Easy Walk and EasySport harnesses, Drinkwell Pet Fountains, FroliCat toys and Busy Buddy dog toys. PetSafe also has a waste product goods category featuring the odour-neutral ScoopFree, a self-cleaning cat toilet, portable pet toilet, the Pet Loo and Piddle Place, which includes an indoor/outdoor pet potty.
Last year the Travel and Access category was added to the Petsafe product portfolio when parent company Radio Systems Corporation acquired Solvit Products, a manufacturer of highly practical, easy-to-use pet travel products. These include steps to make it easier for pets to climb.

At this year's Interzoo in Nuremberg, Petsafe unveiled two exciting additions to its popular toy range for dogs and cats - the Petsafe Grip 'n Tug and the FroliCat Fox, an automatic cat teaser. The Grip 'n Tug  is a grip toy that offers a rewarding, safe and fun experience for dogs and owners and provides a great opportunity to train dogs using basic commands such as "drop it". Its intelligent design means that the braided tug of nonwoven fabric and rope will not get caught in the dog's teeth or gums, while the protective handle makes it safer and less tiring for pet owners. A practical feature is that the "tug" is removable for washing purposes and can be replaced when worn.
