Not only the exhibition management, but also most of the exhibitors with which PET worldwide spoke said that they were very pleased with this year's Anido and particularly praised the professionalism of the event. Praise was heard again and again for the familiar and casual character of the event, which is seen as very important for winning new business contacts in the Benelux area.
As in previous years, the Belgian "top dogs" and leading wholesale companies presented themselves with extremely visual, attractive and spacious stands, which were successful in attracting a large number of visitors. In terms of innovations however, most international exhibiting companies kept more of a low profile in view of the forthcoming global trade fair Interzoo. In spite of this, there was no shortage of new products at the trade fair. Here, the trend toward the constant humanisation of pets continued, which was emphasised by fashionable dog clothes and products such as ice cream for dogs. "The role of pet owners is evolving into that of pet parents who regard their pets as members of their family and treat them like children who deserve only the best, the tastiest, healthiest and most fun products," stresses Annick Pycarelle.
This was particularly noticeable at Anido in the product range presented in the dog and cat animal group. Natural and biological pet food products as well as frozen raw dog food diets and snack products were particularly present in the exhibition halls. New designs and materials in beds and cushions for dogs and cats were also presented at several stands. But there weren't only products: in addition to their new articles, some companies also offered attractive POS presentation possibilities with which businesses can highlight their specialist character even more. The next Anido takes place on 16 and 17 February 2020 in the Kortrijk Xpo exhibition centre.
