Braganza presently operates veterinary clinics under the Vettris logo at four locations in Sweden, in Falun, Kungsbacka, Mölndal (Gothenburg) and Nyköping. Two of these – Nyköping and Falun – are located in Arken Zoo stores, and plans have been announced to site eight further Vettris practices in Arken Zoo outlets this year. Arken Zoo currently has 85 stores scattered across Sweden and is considered the country’s biggest pet store chain. The Vettris clinic in Nyköping covers an area of around 100 m² and employs four people, the vet and his staff and a nutritional adviser. Arken Zoo has around 300 000 registered customers, an enticing future prospect for Vettris managing director Fredrik Helgesson, and confidence exists at Vettris that the clinics can benefit from this extensive customer base. The clinics take up between 90 and 150 m² in space. Service for pets and owners An important element of Vettris’s clinic business is the mobile veterinary service with its “Vettrisbussen”. These fully equipped caravans are deployed on prearranged dates at locations where there is no Vettris practice. Another service for pet owners is the creation of a “Vettris Club” with a newsletter providing registered owners with news and featuring new products for their pets. “We want to offer our customers easily accessible, safe and innovative pet care with the best service in convenient surroundings,” says Fredrik Helgesson in summary.
