The strips of meat are gently grilled, giving them an intense meat aroma and a high level of acceptance, according to Delipet. Herbs from the Swiss Alps such as stinging nettles, mint, chamomile, marshmallow, yarrow and Alpine rose leaves are said to have a positive effect on the digestion, organs, skin and coat and promote well-being. Natural active agents of the green-lipped mussel are also supposed to exert a positive influence on cartilage exchange and aid joint mobility. The "+ 7" and "+ 12" lines take account of the different requirements of felines aged seven and twelve years and above respectively. After the age of seven, according to Royal Canin, cats are less active and have a tendency to become overweight, while the body's own defences become weaker. The focus then changes from twelve years onwards: dental health deteriorates, the cat's appetite becomes poorer and body weight and muscle mass decrease.
