When Kuno Moser GmbH was entered in the Villingen commercial register at the end of 1946, it employed just 20 staff in three wooden huts. Now the company, part of the Wahl Clipper Corporation since 1996, is one of the leading manufacturers of electric coat clippers for dogs and horses and is celebrating its 60th anniversary. In 1957, when the manufacture of modern shaving foil razors was booming, the company moved out of its huts into a new building. In 1959 Moser launched its first hair clippers on the market, and in 1963 extended its production range to include electric toothbrushes. Its customers included large companies in the electrical industry and mail order firms, who supplied these gadgets from the Black Forest to millions of eager consumers during Germany's economic boom of the 1960s. And after all, the traditional Black Forest company also contributed 50 years' worth of experience and market presence. Known since 2002 as Wahl GmbH, the company markets the group brands "Wahl", "Moser" and "ermila" in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Since 1967 the company has been incorporating the know-how acquired from the production of durable hair clippers into its pet clipping appliances, coat care equipment and since 2003 into its "Horseline" horse clippers.
