Clear water
The Italian company Prodac International offers water treatments, filter media, bio-conditioners, fertilizers, water care products and flaked, granulated and freeze-dried food for aquarium and pond fish. Now the company has modified the formula of “Aquasalz Pond” to improve the efficiency of this product. It is a mix of oxygenating salts that crumble the dirty waste and algae deposited on the bottom of the pond and push the particles up to the surface, making filtering easier by using a net to catch the particles. It is an exclusive and unique product, thanks to Prodac’s extensive experience as a manufacturer of a wide range of salt products for the marine aquarium. www.prodac.it
 
Pumps for every application
The Belgian company Flamingo has a whole range of “Water Symfony” pond pumps that can be used for ponds, water decorations, cascades and streams depending on the model. All pumps can be used in both fresh and salt water aquariums as circulation pumps for biological filters. The larger pumps have thermal protection, but are not to be used in chemically polluted water, below 2°C or above 40°C.Flamingo also offers two submersible spotlights, the “Rainbow” lights. Powerful pumps
The British company Hozelock Cyprio makes 30 different pumps in three ranges. Thirteen of them – the “Titan”- and “Prima XL” ranges – are solids handling pumps designed for use with filters of up to 30 000 litres in capacity. The “Titan” range (from 2 000-15 000 litres per hour maximum flow) is for waterfalls and filters and is designed to pump solids up to 10 mm in size into a filter. The cage is specially designed to prevent clogging by providing the maximum surface area. A user-friendly integral carrying handle makes the pumps easy to lift out of deep ponds in one piece. The cage is kept securely in place by locking latches which can be finger tightened for security and are easy to release, without tools, when maintenance of the pump is required. An outlet ball joint allows for easy hose attachment and can be swivelled to whatever angle is needed to permit the hose to exit the pond easily. And their low profile makes “Titan” pumps exceptionally stable in use and provides a large base intake area through which solids are drawn from the bottom of the pond.www.hozelock.com
