The leading companies in the pet product industry will congregate in an overall exhibition area of 20,000 m² in the Rhein-Main-Hallen, which successfully hosted the world’s biggest pet trade show Interzoo from 1962 to 1986. Joachim Merkert, chairman of the DeZooFa advisory committee until mid-March, is extremely satisfied with the development of the show: “The number of main exhibitors and exhibition space leased so far have grown compared with two years ago. And 36 new exhibitors have signed up, including companies such as Tetra and Vitakraft.”
As a partner in FKM, the Society for Voluntary Control of Fair and Exhibition Statistics, fair organiser Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zoologischer Fachbetriebe (WZF GmbH), which is also responsible for Interzoo, is obliged to have its fairs audited from the third event onwards. The conditions of entry to the trade show ensure that DeZooFa exhibitors can reach and address their target group as accurately as possible. Thus only trade representatives, vets, specialist bodies and relevant commercial consumers are admitted on production of a trade visitor pass.

To achieve similarly favourable statistics this year, the organisers have come up with a few new ideas. One special show highlight will be a bird meadow in Hall 4: the Zentralverband Zoologischer Fachbetriebe (ZZF), the parent company of WZF GmbH and representative of the interests of the German pet product trade, is presenting a spring landscape covering around 350 m², which will feature a pond and waterfall and will also incorporate a rest area for visitors to the fair, along with a dozen aviaries.
