Pet food company Untamed announced in a press release that it has raised 10 mio GBP in Series B funding. The round was led by Coefficient Capital and included existing investors Five Seasons Ventures and Redrice. As part of the investment, Untamed will welcome Andrew Goletka from Coefficient Capital as a new board member.

The direct-to-consumer cat food brand provides fresh food to 80 000 cats across the UK every month. Untamed produces high meat meals using food grade ingredients. Co-founders Ben Spicer, Lenny Cordell and Marco Pacifici set up Untamed five years ago after seeing for themselves the importance of an ancestral diet for the well-being of cats. This meant focusing on whole meat and protein-rich meals.

Cat owners fill out a short questionnaire on the company's website with details such as their cat's age, food preferences and eating habits so that Untamed can create personalised boxes of perfectly portioned wet food for their cat. Untamed then delivers monthly boxes of meat-only meals to customers' doorsteps.

Since its inception, Untamed claims to have delivered over 50 mio meals.
