Panto, a company that has been committed to high-quality pet food for over 30 years, is taking a new approach to sustainable and circular packaging solutions with Wildplastic: Together, the two German companies are setting themselves the goal of gradually introducing recycled, wild materials into production and logistics. The first result of this collaboration is pallet covers made from so-called wild plastic, which will be used in future to protect the feed during transport.

The term “wild plastic” therefore describes plastic waste that exists outside the closed recycling loop: It is mainly found on streets, illegal and open rubbish dumps, and in nature, predominantly in countries without adequate waste and recycling systems. Together with local collection organisations, Wildplastic recovers this plastic waste from the environment and returns it to the recycling cycle. The pallet covers are just the beginning. Panto and Wildplastic want to further expand their cooperation and develop even more circular products and processes.
