Hornbach expects only slight growth

International DIY retailer Hornbach expects only slight growth this year. Net sales in the 2024/2025 financial year are expected to be slightly above the previous year's level. However, Hornbach expects a positive performance in the first quarter due to the weather-related strong start to the spring season.

The group’s DIY stores generated sales of 5.78 bn euros in the last financial year (ended 29 February 2024), which corresponds to a year-on-year decline of 1.1 per cent. In Germany, sales fell by 2.6 per cent to just under 2.8 bn euros.

In the other European countries in which Hornbach is active, there was an increase of 0.3 per cent to 2.99 bn euros. Net sales for the group as a whole fell by 1.6 per cent to 6.1609 bn euros.
