German pet supplies retailer Das Futterhaus has developed its store concept further, with new features that are already on show in four stores in Hamburg. All new fit-outs and revamps are now being undertaken in line with the new standards, both in large Das Futterhaus branches that sell pets and smaller stores in the group.
The modern store concept focuses on accentuating the idea of a speciality retailer. Efficient LED lighting systems and modern, free-standing POS islands are among the innovations, along with special solutions for promotional and non-food areas and the presentation of special regional assortments.
“With the new store design, we underline our competence as a speciality retailer. The atmosphere in our stores is even more pleasant, not just for the customers but also for our employees,” says Das Futterhaus managing director Andreas Schulz.
The family-owned company plans to refit and modernise at least 20 more branches this year. Its first new openings in 2024 are scheduled for 26 January in Munich and 8 February in Wittmund.
