PetQuip announces the winners

At the start of October, the UK trade association PetQuip held its annual awards ceremony following the Pats Telford trade show. The event recognised companies' outstanding achievements and celebrated their successes.

Awards were presented in the Supplier, Retailer, Product, Export and Lifetime Achievement categories. The sell-out evening function was hosted by Susan Fairley, manager of the PetQuip retail association, and Amanda Sizer Barrett, PetQuip director general.

The winners of the individual categories are:

• Celebrating Green and Organic: Mr Bug
• Product of the Year Technical/Accessories: Dog First Aid Kit from Poorly Paws
• Product of the Year Food/Treats: Wellness Treats from Hownd
• Product of the Year Healthcare/Grooming: TropiClean Essentials Collection from Pedigree Wholesale
• International Retailer/Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year: Tom & Co, Belgium
• UK Retailer of the Year: Discount Feeds
• The Theresa Swann Exporter of the Year Award: Mutneys Professional Pet Care
• Lifetime Achievement Award: John Burns MBE, Burns Pet Nutrition
