27 950 trade visitors from across the globe attended the international pet supplies trade show Zoomark, enabling organiser Fiera Bologna to report a record turnout for the 20th edition of the fair. The figure considerably exceeded that of 2021 (15 000 visitors) and even the number of visitors in 2019, which was recorded as 26 000. Zoomark also posted a record for exhibitors, attracting 1 060 in all from 57 countries and with foreign exhibitors accounting for 75 per cent of the total.
Antonio Bruzzone, managing director of Fiera Bologna, was suitably euphoric in giving his verdict on the show. In the provisional closing report, he highlighted the leading role of Zoomark in the global pet supplies sector, as all the top brands in the sector had used this year’s Zoomark as their official platform.
The final figures might have been even higher if Italy had not been afflicted by persistent rain and heavy floods during the staging of the fair. Zoomark was given impetus primarily by the visitors from abroad, who accounted for 62 per cent of the overall number.
It has already been announced that the next edition of Zoomark will take place from 5 to 7 May 2025.
