Alpha Zoo wins prestigious award

The Hungarian pet retailer Alpha Zoo has won the award for the “Most Dynamically Developing Franchise Chain of 2022”. The award, which rewards exceptional performance by franchise masters and franchise sub-partners, was given by the Hungarian Franchise Alliance and received by Zoltan Czibula, managing director of Alpha Zoo. 

This prestigious title was awarded to Alpha Zoo because in 2022, the retailer was able to open 25 retail units, including 20 master units and 5 sub-partner units, thereby increasing the number of stores to 95 by the end of last year. This growth was unique among Hungarian franchise chains that year, says Alpha Zoo, and plans are hand for similar expansion for 2023.

In 2022, the 95 units transacted over a million purchases with a turnover of more than HUF 5 bn (about 12.83 mio euros), which is also unique in the market segment, according to Alpha Zoo.

The ethical operation of the Hungarian franchise chains is supervised by the Hungarian Franchise Alliance. Its quest is to enhance the number of franchise participants and support their operations as well as to make franchise participants embrace the ethical code of the Alliance.
