Significant interest in Best Newcomer Award

This year’s International Pet Conference in Bologna on 11 and 12 October will witness the presentation for the first time of the PET worldwide Best Newcomer Award to a start-up or new company in the international pet supplies sector.

By 10 June over 30 companies from across Europe had submitted an application. Five of these will be nominated by the editorial team of the PET worldwide trade magazine to attend the event in Bologna, where they will be able to introduce themselves and their products to a high-calibre audience at the International Pet Conference in a live pitch and film lasting approximately five minutes in each case.

The successful entrant will receive the PET worldwide Best Newcomer Award on the first day of the conference. The award winner will be chosen by PET worldwide readers in online voting scheduled to take place over the summer and by delegates to the International Pet Conference, with readers’ votes and those of the conference delegates each accounting for 50 per cent of the total.
