Petcurean enters partnership with United Petfoods

Canadian pet food manufacturer Petcurean has entered into a new partnership with Belgian exclusive private label manufacturer United Petfoods. Petcurean sees this cooperation as a good opportunity to optimise its presence in the EU. The Canadian company's premium pet food products are available in more than 30 countries around the world.

The partnership gives Petcurean access to United Petfood's network of 17 state-of-the-art production facilities in Europe. With more than 80 countries approved for export, this partnership allows for faster distribution, better customer service and reduced impact on global shipping, among other benefits, Petcurean points out.

Both companies confirm that they will ensure that sustainable business practices are at the forefront of this partnership. Key points include using locally sourced ingredients through a trusted network of suppliers, raw materials with low environmental impact, energy and waste efficiency, developing and innovating healthy products, using wind turbines and solar panels, and ensuring sustainable partnerships with customers and suppliers.

Formulas produced at United Petfood's facilities will be delivered across Europe from autumn 2022, with all formulas being converted by the end of 2022, Petcurean said.
