Maxi Zoo Italia and Arcaplanet form new Arcaplanet Group

The Fressnapf Group has now integrated its 144 Maxi Zoo locations in Italy into the network of the Italian specialist retail group Arcaplanet. This is reported by Fressnapf on its website and emphasises that the approval by the responsible competition authorities has now been given.
The merger into the newly formed Arcaplanet Group was made possible with the input of the internationally active private equity company Cinven. The Arcaplanet Group is now the largest pet retail group in Italy.
Following completion of the transaction, the Fressnapf Group is now a strong minority shareholder in the Arcaplanet Group alongside Cinven and the management team. It is rumoured to be between 30 and 35 per cent.
