Speaking to PET worldwide, founder Anderson Lim said a shop is planned in Bintulu in the Malaysian state of Sarawak, while other shops are being considered in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak, and Kota Kinabalu, the capital of the Malaysian state of Sabah.
In Sarawak, Nimanja already has four other stores: three in Miri, the city bordering Brunei, and one in the port city of Sibu. It also has nine branches in its home country of Brunei, including one that opened in the sultanate's Kiarong business district in June last year, bringing the total number of stores to 13. The Sabah opening will be a new foray for the company. So far, Nimanja has only opened the Kiarong branch, while last year it opened five branches, including the one in Sibu.
Nimanja is part of the Petlink Group, the largest retailer of pet supplies in Brunei.
