The Portuguese pet store chain Ornimundo celebrated its 25th birthday on 17 November. To coincide with the anniversary, the chain also opened its 25th store.
The new store with a 200 m² retail area is located in the shopping centre in Aveiro, around 75 km south of Porto. It incorporates the company's own PetStylist grooming concept as well as offering veterinary products and services including counselling.
The Ornimundo chain belongs to the wholesaler Propet and nearly 200 people are employed by the group of companies. CEO Jorge Moura has announced that further new store openings will take place next year along with the refurbishment of older outlets.
