Local school children and traders joined forces last week with British company Nuttery to launch “High Street Feeding”, which aims to see flower basket brackets in town centres used to hang bird feeders during the winter months. In total over a hundred feeders now adorn Eton High Street and Nuttery hopes towns, cities and villages up and down the UK will follow suit. Nuttery’s managing director Julian Lipton explains: “Food sources are always scarcer over the winter so we wanted to do our bit to help Britain’s bird population. Hanging basket brackets provide an ideal solution and allow high street traders to support their local wildlife in a simple and inventive way.”
