DeZooFa opens up to Europe

The 3rd Deutsche Zoofachmesse DeZooFa, taking place from 20 to 22 May 2005 in Wiesbaden, will host a show for European exhibitors for the first time. Joachim Merkert, chairman of the DeZooFa advisory committee, said that the fundamental changes in the European retail scene were the reason for this expansion. For instance, innumerable manufacturers are now delivering directly to German retailers from surrounding states without calling on the services of an import agent. Merkert also stated that the intention was to offer the German retail trade and foreign suppliers a platform on which to meet one another.
