Retailing loses out in Eurozone

The volume of retail sales in the Eurozone was down by 0.9 per cent in May when compared with May 2003. By contrast, according to information from Eurostat, the sector in all 25 member states of the European Union combined recorded sales up by 1.6 per cent over the same month last year.
