Sales at Hill’s, the speciality pet nutrition business of the Colgate-Palmolive Group, rose by 11 per cent last year to US$ 1.3161 bn (1.0473 bn €). Hill’s thus fared better than forecast. Unit volume was up 4.5%, according to the company. In the USA, the growth was generated primarily by the Science Diet Nature’s Best and Science Diet Advanced Protection products. On the international front, sales in Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Brazil, France, the UK, Spain, New Zealand, the Philippines and Russia increased substantially.
