UK trade body revives Petindex

The new trade show is aimed at all pet businesses within the UK pet industry, including those within the pet service sector, stresses the organiser. It builds on research the PIF undertook with manufacturers and retailers, which highlighted a desire to create more opportunities at a trade show to showcase activities and features which attract the full range of pet service businesses.
The new show is scheduled for Sunday 26 and Monday 27 April 2020 and will bring back the name of Petindex, which ran within the Glee garden and outdoor living trade show at the NEC in Birmingham for several years. In March 2012, the 12-year Petindex exhibition licence between the Pet Care Trade Association (the forerunner of PIF) and Glee's then organiser, Emap Connect, came to an end.

The PIF stresses that Petindex will have a strongly education-focused theme as well as providing opportunities for manufacturers to meet a broad range of pet businesses, from retailers and pet groomers to businesses such as dog walkers, pet sitters, home-boarders and boarding establishments. The PIF has announced that it will combine its annual awards and the British Dog Grooming Championship under one roof along with the new trade show.

Our revitalised Petindex show will therefore provide a unique platform to unite the whole industry under one roof at one event, attracting a wide audience of pet professionals looking for more than just a trade show. All this at a fantastic, centrally located venue with on-site hotel and great road and rail access." Milton Keynes is situated north of London and about 60 miles away from the centre of the capital.
The show will feature seminars and demonstrations aimed at all sectors, networking opportunities, the British Dog Grooming Championship, trade stands and the PIF awards.
