In future, the Fressnapf Group intends to be more digitally, technology- and above all database-oriented in its operations.
"In the year 2025 we see ourselves as the marketplace for everything related to pets. We will connect products, services, information and pet owners with their pets in a unique way in our 1 500 Fressnapf/Maxi Zoo stores, but also digitally," explains company founder Torsten Toeller. To best prepare itself for these tasks, the Fressnapf Group has modified its management committee somewhat. The operational management will comprise eight instead of ten members in future, but the structure of the administrative and executive boards will remain unchanged. As proprietor and chairman of the administrative board, Torsten Toeller will lead the imminent transformation from the top of the company. Challenge 2025 is the boss's priority, is the message from head office; following the departure of CEO Alfred Glander in spring 2018, Toeller had become more hands-on in running the business, but now intends to step back from the operational side of Fressnapf again to oversee this initiative.

New structure

The management of Fressnapf continues to comprise the two managing directors Dr Hans-Jörg Gidlewitz and Folkert Schultz, plus eight board members from the core units of the company. It will operate with immediate effect under the following structure:
Benjamin Beinroth - Senior Vice President IT & Processes Jens Berger - Senior Vice President People Heiko Bücker - Senior Vice President Sourcing, Category Management & MDO Jochen Huppert - Senior Vice President Sales Germany Markus Kallen - Senior Vice President Cross-Channel Marketing Christian Kümmel - Senior Vice President Corporate Development & Controlling Norbert Marschallinger - Senior Vice President Sales International Expansion Udo Rogowsky - Senior Vice President Supply Chain Management & Logistics
All international business will be the sole responsibility of Norbert Marschallinger in future. He will receive support from his own ranks through Sven Girmendonk and Patrick Bontenakels, who will tackle the wide range of responsibilities in the countries as the new regional sales officers.
In Germany too, Fressnapf is going to make its distribution more integrated. Like the customer, it will no longer distinguish between franchise partners…
