Anido is a biennial event that is regarded as the leading pet supplies trade show for the Benelux states and northern France. The organisers expect the exhibition area to be sold out this year. A special focus will be laid on new products and entrepreneurship in the pet care business. As in previous years, around 5 000 visitors are expected to attend, ranging from pet shop and trimming salon operators, garden centres, grain/seed and fertiliser traders, aquarium business proprietors, wholesalers and DIY store operators to vets, dog breeders etc.

Many newcomers

So far, no less than 116 exhibitors representing over 350 brands have registered to take part. In addition to the familiar brands and companies, 36 per cent of the exhibitors are newcomers. In this pavilion, visitors can gather information and advice about buying parrots, tropical fish, dogs, birds, reptiles, rodents and more. In addition to all this, there will be an extra focus on entrepreneurship this year.

Expert talks

Anido aims to inspire entrepreneurs in the pet care sector and help them run their businesses more professionally by organising expert talks on the exhibition floor. Some of these talks will be pre-recorded interviews with experts who provide free practical information and advice on topics in their field. A number of interactive sessions will also be held. The following themes are on the organisers' wish list: e-commerce, making a visit to your pet shop an unforgettable experience, social media, marketing, personnel management, and the shop of the future. The final programme will be posted on the…
