Lost worlds in the terrariumThe German company Fackert Aqua & Terra Dekodesign offers a combination/expansion system of relief panels for decorating the back wall and sides of the terrarium. The "Wall fragment" relief motifs of lost worlds, which come in a stone grey or sand beige colour, can be used as tropical "Inca" or "Mayan" backdrops or as an "ancient Egypt" backdrop in desert-type terrariums. The solid-cast relief panels can be glued in individual arrangements onto a cork tile, inserted for decorative purposes into an existing rear wall (e.g. stone/rock impression) or also used as a single rear wall panel in a small terrarium. The new tool will allow keepers to monitor thermal gradients, basking sites, shelters, incubation and hibernation temperatures and more, says the company. The thermometer can be set to read temperatures in both Fahrenheit (-28° to 230°F) and Celsius (-33° to 110°C).
