IBBI gives dogs a lift

Pet strollers for dogs are now IBBI’s principal product. Having started out as a manufacturer of prams, the Taiwanese company switched its production, which is based entirely in China, exclusively to the manufacture of transport solutions for dogs. Most of these products are exported, with exports currently accounting for around 70 per cent of company sales. The major customers are located in Europe, the United States and Japan, which is why the company exhibited its products at Interzoo in Nuremberg this year. To achieve success in each of their markets, the IBBI products offer unique features depending on the regions in which they are sold. In order to meet the special requirements of customers, different colours, styles and functions are offered for the strollers. In addition to flexibility in its production, IBBI stresses that it strives to meet European EN standards for all its products. The plant in China has a fully integrated manufacturing process that incorporates highly exacting bending, powder coating, sewing and assembly processes. To manufacture the goods, IBBI says it uses only especially durable materials, such as water-repellent, scratch-proof nylon fabric. In addition, IBBI actively backs environmental protection as well as supporting the health of pets by using only non-toxic coatings for the inner layer of the stroller cloth and non-phthalate PVC as rain covers. “We always aim in our development process to incorporate new features into the strollers such as easy storage, foldability and disassembly for cleaning,” states the company. As well as pet strollers, IBBI manufactures other products for pets. These include a bicycle basket for dogs that can be attached to the handlebars and will carry up to six kilos in weight. Storage spaces have been added to the baskets for carrying water bottles, snacks and sunglasses, providing extra convenience for owners who want to take their pets on a bike trip. In addition, the company also offers a jumbo trailer/stroller for larger-sized dogs. Once the stroller is hitched to the back of a bike, the pet can enjoy a safe and stable ride and plenty of room.
