Healthy cats and dogs The British company Sinclair Animal & Household Care is marketing new ear drops for cats and dogs under its "Canac" brand. These contain natural pyrethrum to kill ear mites. A simple, safe and effective treatment, they also soften wax, soothe irritation and assist healing. Mite infestations are a common cause of ear disease. The infestation tends to result in itching, scratching, head shaking or dark, dry, waxy debris in one or both ears. Whilst cats and dogs can carry ear mites without revealing any problems, the affected animals will have very itchy ears. Long term permanent scarring can result if left untreated. www.sinclair-sahc.com Tasty bones for dogs The Dutch company Farm Food is known in Holland for its "Farm Food HE" dog food and is now extending sales of this to the European market. It is a complete food for all life stages of the dog and contains no chemical additives such as antioxidants, preservatives, colourants or aroma enhancers. "Rawhide" dog chewbones are a new product developed by the company: clean, tasty and almost completely digestible chewbones manufactured from natural cattle hide from South America. www.farmfood.com Comfort bedding With "Ti' chat seventies", launched under its "Muscat" brand, French company Zolux presents a fun and trendy comfort collection for cats. It's a small range, comprising a set of two pet beds, an igloo, a cat home, a sofa and a pouf. In line with decorative trends and prêt-à-porter fashion, the collection uses colours of the seventies adapted to today's style, with brilliant shades, round shapes and cheerful patterns. A stable pH (buffered) is important for a healthy and balanced aquarium. The use of "Piacca Ok" is very important in extremely osmotised waters, as these are prone to sudden pH changes.
