Its first outing at Petindex: Italian aquatic products company Hydor.
This year Petindex benefited once again from the continuing growth in the British pet sector. Compared with last year, the show again increased in size, with around 280 exhibitors. All the main suppliers presented themselves to their customers, with a few exceptions. Most of them welcome the merging of Petindex and Glee, as it affords them a better opportunity for establishing contact with garden centre groups that stock pet product ranges.
One of the leading British aquatics companies: Arcadia.
The leading British manufacturers were out in force at the show, many of them with imposing stands, like Interpet, Armitage, Oasis and John Allan. Many international companies with subsidiaries in the UK were likewise in attendance in Birmingham, above all pet food suppliers Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Royal Canin/James Wellbeloved, Mars (exhibiting only its aquatic product range) and for the first time Iams Pet Food, with a comparatively modest stand. From Italy, the aquatics company Hydor was exhibiting for the first time at Petindex alongside compatriots Ferplast and Marchioro. A number of companies from Germany and the Benelux countries that are active in the UK market were also present.

Italian company Marchioro presented both its garden and pet product range.
Most exhibitors appeared extremely satisfied with the way the show went. The organization was commended by most as highly professional, attendance levels on all three days were pleasing and the atmosphere left nothing to be desired. The next Glee Petindex will be held from 19 to 21 September 2004.
